As President and CEO, Patti Falus is the founder and driving force of Barter Network Ltd. A Certified Trade Broker (CTB) with over thirty years of experience in barter. Patti is a recognized expert in this multi-billion-dollar industry: Through the late 90’s, she toured North America, lecturing seasoned brokers on the merits and advantages of a barter economy. Starting Barter Network Ltd. in July 2000, Patti’s energy, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering outstanding service and value, remains the cornerstone of the brokerage, today. BNL stands alone as Canada’s most reputable commercial barter exchange. Patti also holds a board member position with the International Reciprocal Trade Association (www.irta.com). In 2004 she was awarded Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in the Start Up Category. In 2012, Patti was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of Canadian’s contributions to Canada.
Shannon joined the Barter Network team in 2005. She brought with her an extensive background in customer service and sales. Shannon’s day to day responsibilities include overseeing the trade floor as well as the Media department. During her career that spans almost two decades, she has established her reputation and strives to make every trade as smooth as possible. She recognizes that her clients should be prioritized over all else, staying committed to their interests and decisions. She is instrumental in coordinating the sale and purchase of advertising across all mediums available through BNL and will help you create an advertising plan that your customers will love, igniting real results for your business. Shannon’s experience and knowledge of the barter industry enables her to cater to our clients impeccably and efficiently for all their trading needs.
Dylan is an accomplished Trade Broker whose diverse background spans customer success, sales, marketing, and event planning. With a proven track record in these areas, Dylan excels at navigating complex trade landscapes and delivering exceptional results for our members. Dylan’s career began with a strong foundation in marketing, where he developed and executed strategic campaigns that boosted brand visibility and customer engagement. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior, skills that he now applies to his role in trade brokerage. In addition to his marketing expertise, Dylan’s roles in customer success and sales have equipped him with a unique ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. His proficiency in event planning further enhances his capability to deliver impactful and memorable experiences for clients. At Barter Network, Dylan utilizes his multifaceted background to optimize trade operations and drive growth. His strategic insights, combined with his commitment to client satisfaction, make him a key player in our team. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dylan is passionate about staying ahead of industry trends and continuously refining his skills. His dedication to both personal and professional development underscores his drive to contribute significantly to the success of our company.
Sandy is an experienced Trade Broker with over 30 years of expertise in management, business consulting in various professional sectors, sales, and customer support. Sandy specializes in guiding clients towards valuable and successful trade opportunities, utilizing a deep industry knowledge and a commitment to personalized service. With a strong track record of results and a reputation for building lasting client relationships, Sandy continues to drive success through expertise and dedication and takes pride in her client’s growth and satisfaction in navigating their trade needs with confidence.
Aresha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and started her career working in healthcare. Looking to expand her knowledge of the corporate world, she joined the Barter Network Team in 2022 as a receptionist. Her strong organizational skills allow her to support the brokers with member orders, overseeing all logistics, as well as creating email marketing blasts to our member base. Aresha enjoys working as a part of an enthusiastic team and looks forward to gaining more experience. She hit the ground running at the BNL office and is quickly become an integral part of the Barter family.
Praise graduated from York University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Management. She joined the Barter Network Team in 2023 as a trade broker, aiming to expand her corporate expertise. Praise is dedicated to exceeding her clients’ expectations by leveraging her skills to effectively anticipate, recognize, and address their needs. She plays a pivotal role in facilitating global travel accommodation sales and purchases for BNL members, driven by her commitment to exceptional service and value delivery. Praise’s strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, along with her proactive approach, significantly contribute to the Barter Network team’s success. Beyond her role as a trade broker, she also supports the administrative team to ensure smooth company operations and member services. Praise looks forward to further assisting members and advancing her professional growth within the organization.
At Barter Network, Kyla serves as the Director of First Impressions, ensuring every client experiences a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk through the door. As the go-to person for everything, Kyla wears many hats, providing invaluable support across the business. Whether assisting administrators, working closely with brokers, or managing shipping, customs, and office organization, Kyla is the backbone that keeps Barter Network running smoothly. With a strong background in retail, customer service, and hands-on experience as a former stock manager, Kyla brings a unique combination of skills that ensure smooth daily operations. Her keen attention to detail, efficiency, and ability to multitask allow her to keep the office running like clockwork. Whether organizing files, offering input on projects, or troubleshooting challenges, Kyla is the first person everyone turns to for solutions.
